Mordar2

Mordar is one of the Masters in Minion Masters. This master is unlocked with 1500 Shards or 775 Rubies.

Caption

No one knows Mordar's origins (including Mordar, who forgot long ago) but he is old and quite insane. One thing is certain, he's a lich of immense power who defies death on a regular basis.

Description

Mordar uses his tombstones to raise the dead and his staff to slowly kill all attacking minions.

Abilities

Basic Attack

  • Deals 10 damage to all enemies on his side of the arena. He attacks faster and faster (from every 4 sec to 1 sec).
    • Mordar's attack speed is reduced by 1 sec for every 3 times he attacks.

Perks

Mordar Tombstone Tombstone (Unlocks at 20 XP)

  • Add a one-use Tombstone card to Mordars deck.
    • Health: 500
    • Activation time: 10 sec
    • Whenever a friendly minion dies, if Tombstone is charged, resurrect that minion. Tombstone takes damage equal to half the unit's maximum health. If this destroys the Tombstone, the minion is summoned with health equal to twice the health Tombstone had remaining.
    • Another copy is added to your deck 35 seconds after the tombstone is destroyed.
    • Mana cost: 0
    • Duration: 50 sec

Tombstonemaster Vengeful Dead (Unlocks at 60 XP)

  • All minions raised by a Tombstone gain Haste and Spirit
    • Haste: +33% Movement Speed and Attack Speed
    • Spirit: +50% max health (minimum buff of +50 health, maximum of +400 health)

Mordar Tombstone02 Sepulchre (Unlocks at 120 XP)

  • Increase the health of Tombstone to 1500.

Notes

Mordar's attack is an AOE that hits all enemies on his side of the arena.

Mordar's minions have a small visual effect when a tombstone is ready to ressurect. This is done in order to highlight which of the minions belong to mordar, important in 2v2.

Mordar's tombstones resurrect units with health missing. They fully charge after 20 seconds, and the health missing is proportional to how much charge they have. For example, after 15 seconds (3/4 charge), if a minion is resurrected, it will have 3/4 of its health. No units are resurrected if the tombstone has under 15 seconds of charge.

History

  • In Update 12 - Blast Entry (5 Jan, 2017) Mordar received the following changes:
    • Basic attack:
      • Number of attacks at which attack speed increases rescaled from 0, 4, 13, 30 to 0, 3, 6, 9
      • Minimum attack speed increased from 2s to 4s (maximum from 0.5s to 1s)
      • Damage increased from 3 to 10
    • Tombstones mana cost increased from 0 to 1
    • Third Perk reworked:
      • Before: Tombstone now only take 5 seconds to activate
      • Now: All minions raised by a Tombstone gain Haste
  • In Update 28 - Answer the Call (10 May, 2017) Mordar's Tombstones mana cost was reduced from 1 to 0
  • In Update 74 - Season of Raging Heat (15 Aug, 2018) Mordar's Tombstones were changed so that two different Tombstones can't resurrect the same minion at the same time.
  • In Update 1.8 - Frostival 2019(18 Dec, 2019) Mordar's Tombstones received placement auras.
  • In Update 1.14 (25 June, 2020) Mordar received the following changes:
    • Tomstone activation time reduced from 10s to 8s
    • Tombstones can now only resurrect minions belonging to mordar. This change mainly affects 2v2.
  • In Update 1.15 (30 Jul, 2020) Haste bonus was reduced from +50% to +33%, affecting Mordar's 3rd Perk.
  • In Update 1.26 - Best Plan No Plan! (1 July, 2021), Mordar received the following changes:
    • Tombstones now resurrect minions with health missing, proportional to the charge that the tombstones have.
    • Tombstones now take 20 seconds to charge, and only resurrect if they have at least 25% charge.
  • In Update 1.27 - Best Plan No Plan! (5 August, 2021), the required charge to resurrect a minion was increased from 25% to 50% (5 seconds -> 10 seconds)
  • In Update 1.30 - Malediction (25 November, 2021), Mordar's perk 2 and perk 3 were swapped (previously: perk 2 was Another Tombstone, perk 3 was Vengeful Dead)
  • In Update 1.32 - Invasion (3 February, 2022), Tombstone received the following changes:
    • Charge required to resurrect a minion increased from 50% to 75% (15 seconds of charging)
    • Stuns no longer reset the charge
  • In Update 1.33 - Invasion (3 March 2022), Mordar's perk 2 (Vengeful Dead) now also grants the resurrected minions Spirit.
  • In Update 1.45 - Arcane Anomalies (March 9, 2023), Mordar was reworked:
    • Previously, Tombstone activated after 15 seconds, then continued charging up for up to 30 seconds. The next minion that died was resurrected, with health proportional to the charge of the tombstone.
    • Now, Tombstone activates after 10 seconds, and whenever a minion dies, the tombstone is dealt damage equal to half of the minion's maximum health. If the tombstone survives, the minion is revived with maximum health; otherwise, the minion has health missing proportional to the excess damage dealt. This also means that one tombstone can revive multiple units.
    • Tombstone stats changed:
      • Health increased from 400 to 500
      • Activation delay reduced from 15 to 10 seconds
      • Lifetime increased from 40 to 60 seconds
      • Instead of being added to your deck, is now added to your deck 25 seconds after the previous Tombstone was destroyed.
      • When Stunned, now resets its charge instead of temporarily becoming unavailable
    • Perk 3 changed:
      • Previously: Added another tombstone to the deck.
      • Now: Tombstone health increased from 500 to 1500.
  • In a hotfix launched on March 10 2023, Mordar received the following changes:
    • Tombstone duration reduced from 60 to 50 seconds
    • Tombstone cooldown increased from 25 to 30 seconds
  • In Update 1.47 - Into the Void (18 May 2023), the cooldown of Tombstone was increased from 30 to 35 seconds.
